BACKGROUND

 

The Gaston County Historic Preservation Commission is requesting the property located at 300 Woodlawn Ave, Mount Holly, NC be designated as a local historic landmark. The City of Mount Holly recommended approving the designation of the Woodlawn Mill (AKA Mount Holly Spinning Mill). A public hearing is required for the Board of Commissioners to consider the final designation of the subject property. Should the designation be approved by the Board of Commissioners, the property will be able to apply for the Present Use Value Program to receive 50% property tax relief beginning in 2025.
