BACKGROUND
Gaston County has been awarded two supplemental allotments for the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant. Allotment I in the amount of $13,974 and Allotment II in the amount of $1,169 for a total of $15,143. This supplemental allotment consists of unspent Grant Year 2025 funds from USED that are able to be redistributed to eligible subgrantees. These funds are to be used to support out-of-school community learning centers for students and their families related to literacy and academic enrichment and must be spent prior to the period of performance conclusion of 09/30/2027.
Gaston County serves as the fiscal agent in partnership with Gaston County Schools, the implementing agency.
