BACKGROUND

21st Century funding is generally awarded for a three-year period with funds remaining at the end of each of the three years reverting to NCDPI;  however, because of the impact of COVID on school programs, NCDPI received a waiver to allow programs to keep any unused funding from year three of the program for an additional fourth year.
