BACKGROUND

 

Chapter 5 of the Unified Development Ordinance requires a public hearing by the Commission, with recommendation by the Planning & Zoning Board prior to consideration for final action by the Commission. TKC Land Development II, LLC (Applicant); Property Parcels: 142861 & 142862, Located on Lewis Rd., Gastonia, NC, Rezone from the (R-1) Single Family Limited Zoning District with (US) Urban Standards Overlay to the (CD/C-1) Light Commercial Conditional District with (US) Urban Standards Overlay. A public hearing was advertised and held on December 9, 2025, with public hearing comments being on file in the Board of Commission Clerk’s Office. Planning & Zoning Board recommendation was provided on November 17, 2025, and the Commission is requested to consider the public hearing comment, Planning & Zoning Board recommendation and other pertinent information, then (approve), (disapprove) or (modify) the map change.
