BACKGROUND

Project Miami is considering a total investment of $19,200,000 to expand its existing operations within Gaston County. It is in the best interests of the County to assist Project Miami in completing a NC Department of Commerce (NCDOC) Rural Economic Development Division Building Reuse Grant Application.  The required local match will be the Local Investment Grant previously approved. This will potentially increase property and sales tax revenue based upon Project Miami choosing to locate its manufacturing plant in Gaston County.
