BACKGROUND

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Adult Corrections and Juvenile Justice awarded funds in 2022 to fund a pilot Traffic Teen Court in Gaston County JCPC for fiscal year 2022-2023.  On June 6, 2023 the JCPC received notification that a decision was made to continue the pilot project through FY 2023-24 and that additional discretionary funds in the amount of $12,302 were awarded for FY 2023-2024.  The Juvenile Crime Prevention Council approved this revision at its June 13, 2023 meeting.  No county matching funds are required.
