In the event the vehicle is not in acceptable condition at the time of transfer, to substitute another, similar surplus vehicle is not permitted. Further, this transfer is conditioned upon the understanding that all expenses including, but not limited to repairs, motor fuels and lubricants, vehicle tag, inspection and any other costs associated with the purchase and ownership will be the sole responsibility of the East Gaston Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.  The East Gaston Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. agrees to use the vehicle for official agency use, and the vehicle may not be sold, or title transferred to another person or entity for a minimum of 2 years after purchase from Gaston County.
