BUDGET ORDINANCE IMPACT
Appropriate $347,308 from E911 Fund Balance and Allocate $321,353 to the E911 Furniture and Equipment Account and $25,955 to the E911 Other Services Account.
BACKGROUND
The NC 911 Board distributes funding to each primary PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) in the state on a monthly basis for the purposes of providing E911 answering equipment, training, and technology. The purchase of 911 Dispatch Console Furniture is an eligible expense for E911 funds per G.S 143B-1406(d)(1c). The purchase of 911 Dispatch Console Furniture from SBFI Group Horizon Consoles per a GSA contract is an exception to formal bidding per G.S 143-129(e)(9a). The total purchase will be $361,758 with the difference paid with local funds.
